The Relationship between Organizational Culture and Employees' Empowerment

Abstract
This research aims at identifying the relationship between organizational culture and empowerment of the employees at Khoozestan Social Security. Five traits of organizational culture, according to Robins (1997), including innovation, organizational identity, management support, and reward system, and focus on the results according to O'reily, et al. (1991), are used in this research. To assess employees' empowerment, dimensions presented by Whetten and Cameroon (1381) was employed. This is an applied research following correlation method. Research population included 800 people, among whom 204 subjects were randomly selected. Questionnaires were used to collect data, and SPSS software was employed for data analysis. Regression and correlation analysis indicated that there is a significant relationship between organizational culture and employees empowerment. Innovation and focus on results, from among organizational components, were able to predict dimensions of empowerment.
