An analysis of the Relation between Strategic Human Resource Management and Intellectual Capital (Case Study: A Military Training Center)

Abstract

This research is intended to study the relation between the functions of human resource management and intellectual capital. Since human resource management is applied as a device to increase the knowledge of the employees, it can be effective in improving the intellectual capital of the organization. Research population of this study covers all employees at service in a training military center. 120 employees in the units of this training center were identified to work as specialists, 92 of whom were selected as sample population according to Morgan's table. The researchers employed questionnaires for collecting data. The questionnaire of functions of human resource management contained five aspects. The questionnaire used for the measurement of intellectual capital contained three aspects including intellectual, structural and relational capitals. The results indicated that there was a significant multifold relation between human resource management and intellectual capital
