Designing a model of social responsibility for human resource management in the electricity industry

Abstract

Despite significant advances in human resource management, the social responsibility of human resource management is still neglected. The present study aims to design a model of social responsibility for human resource management in the electricity industry. The research method is qualitative and based on systematic data theorizing. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were used to collect data and coded data analysis was performed. Sampling was done by theoretical method using targeted techniques and snowballs. For this purpose, while conducting open interviews with 15 managers, deputies and heads of human resources departments of the electricity industry, a set of basic themes was collected during the open coding process and categories were extracted from them. Then, in the axial coding stage, the relationship between these categories was determined under the headings of causal conditions, axial phenomena, strategies, ground conditions, intervening conditions and consequences.
