Abstract

The main purpose of the present research is to determine the impact of knowledge management (KM) on organizational performance with regard to the role of mediating strategic measures of human resources. This is an applied research following a descriptive-correlative method. The statistical population of this research includes all 750 employees of Irankhodro Diesel Company, from whom a sample of 254 people were selected by simple random sampling method according to Cochran formula. The main instrument for data collecting was a questionnaire. In terms of strategic human resource management, Chang and Huang (2006), organizational performance, Wang et al. (2005) and knowledge management (Wang and Ahmed, 2010) were employed. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by content, and its reliability was confirmed through Cronbach's alpha as much as 0.845 for human resources strategic management, 0.686 for organizational performance and 0.89 for knowledge management. The collected data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results indicated that the knowledge management influences organizational performance directly and indirectly through strategic human resource activities.
