Abstract

These days, in this tense environmental turmoil, foremost organizational leaders are increasingly taking advantage of network communications to meet innovative ideals. Hence, this study is intended to propose a relationship between strategic leadership and organizational innovation emphasizing on the role of network communications in an Iranian industrial-defense organization. The research population consists of all personnel employed in the organization understudy (120 people) from whom a complete enumeration sample was formed. Data collection tool included a questionnaire whose reliability was confirmed through Cronbach's alpha formula. Structural equations method was employed for data analysis. The results indicated that strategic leadership has a direct and indirect effect on the improvement of the level of innovation of the target community through network communication. They also show that the range of indirect effects is far more than that of direct ones. This results in the effectiveness of the role of authenticated network communications. Finally, a new model illustrating the relationship between research variables is presented.
