Factors Affecting the Process of Production and Transmission of Knowledge from Small and Medium Businesses

Abstract

Knowledge management is not regarded as a requirement; rather, it is considered as a necessity. This research is intended to present a framework for appraising the factors influencing production and transmission of knowledge in small and medium enterprises in Isfahan province. This research follows an applied goal through a descriptive survey case study method. Research sample is composed of 111 small and medium enterprises active in Isfahan. Data is collected by standard questionnaires through cluster random sampling method. Structural equation modeling is employed to analyze the data. The results, emphasizing on the capabilities of knowledge management, indicated that knowledge production and the degree of its effectiveness on knowledge transmission leaves effects on the enterprises under study.
